In 2023, we expect further acceleration of Bluetooth® acceptance of technology in the market. This will be further driven by the simplification of the design process and the improved affordability of the solutions. This will help to spread Bluetooth technology in existing markets and open up new markets and applications. We are proud to partner with these innovative companies to make using Bluetooth technology as easy as possible.
What Bluetooth technology innovations has Texas Instruments focused on in 2022, and what will you focus on for 2023?
Earlier this year, in June, we announced our next generation Bluetooth® LE device – the CC2340. This Bluetooth LE device delivers very low power, high quality RF and is backed by expert support. We purposely designed this product to ensure that Bluetooth LE would be available to everyone.
In 2023, we will continue to expand this new device family to add a variety of product offerings. This includes higher performance products with more features and further optimized products.
What do you think will be the biggest difference in 2022 versus 2023 for Bluetooth technology?
I think the biggest difference between 2022 and 2023 is that companies will have a renewed focus on designing innovative products with Bluetooth® Little energy. 2022 was a challenging environment across the industry with supply chain implications that diverted some attention from new product development. However, in 2023 there will be a new energy for innovation.
