This is usually not the best time of year to buy a headphone deal. After all, we’re not in the middle of one of the peak sales periods that run through January, Amazon Prime Day (July), and Black Friday (November). But that doesn’t stop Amazon from offering super-competitive low prices and one-time deals all year round – as these current Bose 700 offer (opens in new tab) is going to show.
Right now, the online retail giant is offering the lowest price we’ve seen on the Bose Noise Canceling Headphones 700 in a long time.
Thanks to a discount of £128 off the original MSRP, the Bose 700 is now just £222 (opens in new tab) — significantly less than the next lowest price we can see. We’ve seen the headphones drop as low as £179 on very rare occasions (yes, Black Friday), but this is still a great price for Bose’s flagship wireless headphones. And a mid-March bargain for those who don’t have the patience to wait months for the next sales event.
We’ve given the Bose Noise Canceling Headphones 700 a positive four-star review for their excellent noise-cancelling skills, energetic sound, and comfortable yet stylish design. And while we think the similarly priced Sony WH-1000XM4 sounds better for the money, some might prefer Bose’s aesthetic elegance and class-leading ANC (though keep in mind that the Sony’s offer 30 hours of battery life compared to with the Bose’s 20).
The Bose 700 is also incredibly intuitive to use: touch controls let you take the helm in regards to music playback, battery check and a few other useful functions, while summoning a voice assistant is done via the push button on the right earcup.
And that class-leading noise-cancellation – well, there are a whopping 11 levels to choose from (0-10), giving you unparalleled control over how much noise you’re blocking out. Go for a run? Choose one of the lower levels so you can still hear the traffic. Go to bed for a nap? Set it to 10 and gently descend into the land of kinks.
The only downside is that for sound quality they are beaten by the best competition at this price point today, which pretty much starts and stops with the aforementioned £243 Sony XM4 (opens in new tab). That said, today’s price drop certainly makes the Bose 700 an even more tempting proposition than usual.
