Last year, the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG) announced the release of a life-changing audio innovation, Auracast™ broadcast audio. Since then, the market has been buzzing with excitement about the possible use cases this revolutionary change in audio broadcasting will enable.
Auracast™ broadcast audio lets you share your audio, unmute your world, and hear your best, enhancing the way you interact with others and the world around you. Attendees at The Auracast™ Experience in Barcelona and Taipei have already heard firsthand how Auracast™ broadcast audio can help the world sound better. Soon the rest of the world will hear how this audio innovation can create new public and private audio sharing and broadcast use cases for consumer and assistive listening applications.
Analyst forecasts
According to ABI Research, analysts expect to see significant growth in Auracast™-enabled devices and deployments in public locations over the next five years, driving new experiences and enhancing the value of bluetooth® audio peripherals and creating new scalability options for assistive listening solutions that open new possibilities for audio accessibility. This growth in Auracast™ deployments has a direct impact on the adoption rate of LE Audio devices.
As noted in a recent article published in Forbes, ABI Research expects the deployment of Auracast™ solutions to accelerate more rapidly in the second half of the decade as LE Audio-compatible transmitters and receivers proliferate. By 2027, there will be more than 3 billion LE Audio devices on the market, which in turn will drive nearly 2.5 million public venues to deploy Auracast™ broadcasters worldwide by 2030.
