Moroccan midfielder Amine Harit, originally chosen to play in the World Cup but injured a week before the start of the tournament, arrived in Qatar on Monday to be with the team for their semi-final against France on Wednesday.
Harit, 25, was welcomed by teammates, several of whom posted photos with him on social media. He has moved in with the team at their base in Doha and continued his treatment for a knee injury with the Moroccan medical staff.
Moroccan captain Romain Saiss posted a photo to Instagram showing him and Harit, writing: “Among us at last… May God heal you… This adventure is yours too.”

“As you can imagine, apart from the physical pain, it’s hard to watch the World Cup dream fly by for a few hours before you can live it,” Harit said on Twitter after his injury.
